Butterflies make a great subject matter, I can watch them for hours/days/weeks...... I have just sold one of my sculptures ' The Year of the Butterfly', so this means that I now need to make another to take its place. This year I have noticed the large cabbage white everywhere, so I guess cabbage will be pricey this winter. So maybe that species of butterfly will be the subject matter of the sculpture this time.

Thanks for saying so Zsussana! Your right it is a very great compliment when someone buys my Art. Trouble is I am often sad to see them go, I wish I could afford to keep all my work, but it dosen't work well that way for obvious reasons, so its always important that the buyer really appreciates it, makes parting with it that much easier. Thanks wild witch, fortunately for me the new owner of this piece feels the same way about it, apparently it is going on display in pride of place, so if anyone out there spots it anytime it would be interesting to know.......(I know the chances of this happening are very slight but its a small world and all that!) :-)
